a little luxury

sometimes we need to get away, need to escape reality and just feel a bit pampered. when our family wants a mini vacation we head to vancouver and stay at the four seasons. it truly is the most magical fun for us. this trip was no exception. one week before the olympics it was spectacular to stay right downtown and see all the action. the city is moving at such a fast pace to prepare for the games, construction is going 24 hours a day still!  in our two night stay we managed to meet our great friends and their children from kelowna, watch uncle steve play live jazz, we opened up a manicure and pedicure studio in our suite at the four seasons, specializing in 7 year old girls giving dad’s colourful pedicures. we had security called due to the noise level of said spa party at 6:45 pm on a saturday night. too much giggling going on as dad’s got pink and orange toes…. and maybe a tiny bit of bed jumping. but really when you are staying in the most beautiful hotel room ever, it is really hard not to totally lose yourself in such luxury linens. oh lets not forget a very special visit from little cousin indie and her big sister lily. i am a bit sad its over. seriously, i am not sure who is going to turn down my linens and bring the car around.  just a few images, of such sweet children getting ready for a dip in the pool. one of about ten swims between friday and sunday. you might also notice that my son is swimming outside, in feb. it was so beautiful out. our winter has been nothing short of spectacular this year. we wandered around our whole weekend with nothing but thin sweatshirts on and soaked up the glorious sun and just felt so grateful for our families and the time we had with them on an amazing weekend.
