maui

i have finally downloaded our vacation photos. i put them into a slide show and asked the kids to come watch. jacob got about five photos in and turned to walk away, he had a sad look on his face and looked at me and said, “sorry mom, i just can’t watch. it makes me too upset.” jordan sat quietly for about one more minute then she too walked away. she said she almost started to cry. i would say that we had a very successful vacation. made even more successful by the fact that we saved for three years to take our trip, we all worked very hard to get there. we mostly have grandma to thank for her intensive forced savings program she put us on! we are not really sure we can wait another few years until we make it back to maui again as it truly was a perfectly magical place. i too have been somewhat depressed, stepping back into reality and our cold spring weather. i can’t wait to return. i don’t have a lot of photos to share, as most times my camera was left behind in the room, but i did try and take a few photos along the way so we can be reminded while we save to go again!
