sticks and stones

what an amazing weekend. sunshine, friends, sleepovers, pancakes, crab dinners, beach walks and crafts. it astounds me how busy we were. last night i actually went to bed with the kids i was so tired. we found a great craft for beach wood on pinterest and off we went, four kids in tow to collect drift wood at our favorite beach. several girls came and went from the house painting sticks it was so fun and so simple. the boys spent a very hot and sunny saturday fishing and crabbing. i am not sure i have ever seen my son so happy. he caught his very first fish and a few other sea creatures that were all set free, but the crab were not so lucky. we feasted on huge dungeness crab. they tasted so great and jacob was so proud of catching us dinner. here are a few photos of our sticks and our stones.
